Upcoming Slide Show Presentations
David is currently booking slide shows for the year 2007-8 featuring recent painting expeditions to Antarctica and the High Arctic.
An Artist's Journey to the Polar Regions. Canadian watercolor artist David McEown shares his passion for the polar regions through a visual recreation of his personal journeys through the Arctic and Antarctic. Using digital slides David introduces you to a landscape colored by vibrant tundra flowers, ice of variegated hues, and the lingering light of the midnight sun. He recounts tales of chance encounters with polar bears and penguins. He provides insight into the people and the places of the high northern and southern latitudes. During the presentation, photographs of the land will dissolve into the paintings that were inspired by the journeys, as David delivers the narrative. • Antarctica and North Pole Presentation and Demonstration Port Moody Art Association, Monday March 17, 2008, 7:00- 9:00 Port Moody Recreation Centre BC • Antarctica and North Pole Presentation Wednesday May 14, 2008, 7:30 pm Kingscraft 12936 Keele St. King City, ON • Antarctica and North Pole Presentation and Demonstration The Art Guild of Scarborough, Thursday May 22, 2008, 7:30 - 9:30 91 Eastpark Blvd. Scarbourough |
